EuroAsia Shorts 2012, now in its seventh year, proudly presents a selection of 27 short films from Europe, Asia, and the United States, screened at embassies and cultural centers in Washington D.C. for five nights, June 4– 8, 2012.
Each evening allows the local public to experience a cinematic international dialogue through the medium of short films from one European and one Asian country, including many award-winning films making their U.S. premier.

A man and a child, coming from different cultures, meet by accident.
Between fear and distrust, they will find themselves bound by a “double knot.”
ADIL E YUSUF by Claudio Noce – 2007, 30′
Adil e Yusuf are twenty year-old twin brothers. They are Somalis and live in Rome. Each morning they catch a train on the way to look for work, however Adil has no intention of becoming a “slave” while Yusuf is convinced that they will only be able to integrate with the society in which they live if they find work. They have an argument on the train, then each goes his own way.
COLORS by Gianni del Corral – 2009, 4′
David, a three year old boy, sees a child with colored skin joining his classroom. A personal quest to understand the reasons for that difference ensues.
