online > Accordi Disaccordi: Hot Italian Swing

As part of the DCJazzFest from Home Series, we are very happy to welcome back a group dear to our audience and friends: Accordi Disaccordi

Joining us from their respective homes in Italy to our new digital stage, Accordi Disaccordi, an Italian trio with a gipsy jazz repertoire, will perform for us what they define “hot Italian swing” – a unique style combining jazz, swing, blues, folk influences, and famous film scores. A mélange that, while preserving an underlying Gypsy jazz style, is a real tribute to the sounds of famous guitarist Django Reinhardt

Formed in 2012, Accordi Disaccordi’s prior engagements include five consecutive editions of the world’s renowned Umbria Jazz Festival, where they opened for famous musicians like Paolo Conte, Paolo Fresu, Stefano Bollani, Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga

Who said that staying at home can’t be fun? Get ready to get up and dance while transported by the intoxicating sound of Accordi Disaccordi’s hot Italian swing!

ACCORDI DISACCORDI

Accordi Disaccordi is an Italian band with an active presence in the international music scene. Born in early 2012, the trio consists of founding members Alessandro Di Virgilio, Dario Berlucchi, guitars, and Dario Scopesi, double bass.

In less than years, Accordi Disaccordi performed in more than 2000 venues throughout Europe, USA, Russia and Australia and appeared at important festivals and jazz clubs including the Umbria Jazz Festival and Jazz à Juan.

They recorded four albums so far: Bouncing Vibes (2013), Swing Avenue (2015), Live Tracks (2016), and the self-titled Accordi Disaccordi, which was released in September 2017. While in the first three albums the trio included standard jazz and Gypsy jazz arrangements, pop songs, and film scores, along with some original songs, it is in the fourth album where their style becomes most evident. Accordi Disaccordi is the trio’s ultimate expression with a repertoire of 14 original songs all written by the band members themselves.
