Shortcut to Europe

The Delegation of the European Union to the United States and the Embassies of the 27 EU Member States to the United States will open their doors to the Washington public during the EU Embassies’ Open House Day. This annual event is a highlight of the Washington May calendar and is celebrated during Europe Week. Each Embassy will open to the public from 10 am until 4 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2012, offering a rare look inside the buildings and providing a unique opportunity to experience the country’s cultural heritage and national traditions.ONLINE: EU Open House

Italian Cultural Society Language Program: ITALIAN for TRAVELERS: Flavia and Carlo will present you some basic tools to travel to Italy.

Italians in DC: ITALIAN and FASHION: Chiara and friends, will show how to create beautiful bracelets with pasta.

Scientific Methodologies Applied to Cultural Heritage: ITALIAN and SCIENCE: Sylvana, Romeo and Luigi will teach special lessons about the life of minerals, nutrition curiosities and climate changes.

Italian Cultural Society Language Program: ITALIAN and GAMES: have you tried to play a game with a crown cork bottle cap? or do you know how to play “Fazzoletto bandiera”? Crisitiana and Antonella will teach you!

Italian European Languages Interpretation: ITALIAN and FOOD: wash your hands and be prepared to learn how to make pasta. Elisabetta and friends will help you!
