Oltre lo Schermo: 15 Documentaries Celebrate Italian Cinema Behind the Scenes.
Free streaming between June 14th and July 25th 2021.
On the occasion of the fourth edition of Fare Cinema, an initiative dedicated to the promotion of Italian cinema in the world, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation presents ‘Oltre lo schermo. 15 documentaries to tell the story of Italian cinema behind the scenes’. The project is developed and produced by Audiovisiva, a platform that collects the best documentaries on Italian culture.
The collection’s films are available free of charge to the international public from the 14th June until 25th July 2021, upon registration and subject to availability (100 users)
Luchino Visconti, Lina Wertmüller, Alida Valli, Dante Ferretti, Nino Rota, Giuliano Montaldo, Federico Fellini and more: the fifteen films in the collection, subtitled in Italian, hearing-impaired Italian, English, French and Spanish, take us on an exciting journey through Italian and international film production of the last 70 years to discover the hidden universe behind the scenes. Alongside the most well-known directors, documentaries turn the spotlight on the many extraordinary “hidden” professionals without which the magic of cinema would not be possible, today as in the past.
Free streaming from June 14th to July 25th 2021. Available until capacity is reached (first 100 users).
Once registered, the 15 documentaries of the collection will remain available for viewing until 25th July 2021. All information and synopses of the films are available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese.
