CORRADO CAVALLI
CORRADO CAVALLI completed his post graduated organ studies at the National Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” of Turin (Italy) where he was awarded the Turin National Conservatory’s prize “C. Silipo” for excellence in organ performance. He participated in master-classes at the “Haarlem International Academy for Organists” (the Netherlands).
Corrado Cavalli went on to win organ competitions and music prizes throughout Italy. He performed in many international and national festivals both in his own country and abroad (Austria, France, U.K, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Monaco and USA). As a guest artist, Corrado Cavalli has appeared with vocal and instrumental ensembles including the Italian National Symphonic Orchestra of RAI, the French “Ensemble Orchestral des Alpes et de la Mer”, the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino and the chamber choir of Turin’s National Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi”.
He was also selected to perform before the city’s dignitaries at the dedication ceremonies for the great organ of the Turin Conservatory’s Concert Hall.
His organ transcriptions are published by the Italian editions “Arme in musica” and “Musica Practica”. He recorded for the Effatà, Elledici and Elegia music labels. Currently he is principal organist at Turin’s S. Filippo Neri and S. Giulia churches.
