International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2014

Exhibit Opening and Concert

On the occasion of Remembrance Day 2014, the Embassy of Italy/Italian Cultural Institute presents the exhibit Memories and Light followed by the concert Italian Jewish Composers 1914-1945.
The photo painting installation is a series of colored images shot sequentially amidst 2711 grey slabs evoking the headstones of murdered Jews.

The concert remembers Italian Jewish Composers whose music was essentially lost with the enforcement of the racial laws after 1938. Music performed by Caroline Helton, soprano, and Kathryn Goodson, piano
