FRANCESCO ATTESTI

“Francesco Attesti’s piano playing is unusual. What transpires in the sound, in the phrasing and in the musical conception stems from an aesthetic and musical conviction that shields the performance from any formal and consumeristic expectations.”
(Sergio Perticaroli – Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome)

Born in Cortona, Italy, pianist Francesco Attesti graduated from the Conservatory “L. Cherubini” in Florence, and continued his studies at the “Sommerakademie Mozarteum” in Salzburg and Rome with Sergio Perticaroli, the “Gubbio Festival” with Jacques Rouvier, and in Florence with Hector Moreno. Maestro Attesti quickly distinguished himself, winning numerous prizes in several piano competitions. In 2003, 2004 and 2005, Attesti received a sponsorship for young talents from the “Ursula Ströher Stiftung” in Basel, Switzerland.

Recently he collaborated with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of Prague, performing the Italian premiere of Chiavi in Mano by the Pulitzer Prize winning composer Yehudi Wyner. He has recorded under Agora, Max Research, Drycastle, and Le Voci della Citta labels music of such noted contemporary composers as Silvia Bianchera Bettinelli, Biagio Putignano, and Raoul De Smet. Currently, he is presenting a rigorous concert program, performing in the most important concert halls throughout Europe (Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom) and North America (USA and Canada).
The public and critics alike have highly praised Attesti for his brilliant and refined interpretation of early music and the romantic repertoire.

Since 2011 he’s been the artistic director of the Scuola di Musica “U. Cappetti” in Monte San Savino and, since 2014, of “Amici della Musica” of Arezzo.

RAFFAELLO AMABILE

Raffaello Amabile is an Italian composer. He was born in Verona where, under the guidance of Maestro Federico Zandonà, he also studied and graduated with a diploma in composition from the Conservatory “F.E. Dall’Abaco”. He then attended the Conservatory of Milan, where he specialized in composition with Maestro Mario Garuti.
Amabile participated in several contemporary music festivals including Tampere, Finland 2008, and the Highscore Festival of Pavia in 2014. In 2010 he published his song titled ” ..as the waves crash .. ” with Armelin. He is currently attending a master’s program in movie soundtrack at the Civic School of Music in Milan with Maestro Franco Piersanti.
During these years, his work as a composer has been inspired the most by authors as the Italian composer Bruno Maderna, the Hungarian György Ligeti and the Franco-Greek Iannis Xenakis. Lately, as a result of the studies undertaken, he is approaching with increasing interest the music of the early twentieth century Europe and North America.
