THE PROGRAM
This 80 minutes long program with two marimbas and a vibraphone is a mixture of classical music arrangements and contemporary music pieces, some of them written especially for us. We will split the Book of Grooves’ four movements by Alejandro Viñao and put contrasting pieces between them. In a program of European composers, one piece stands apart: Night Trips by Bruce Hamilton. We commissioned a piece by prof. Bruce Hamilton, a percussionist and composer from Bellingham (Washington). The piece is finished and our concerts in the USA are planed as an American premiere of ‘Night Trips’. This program is very diverse and will satisfy classical music lovers, as well as popular and avantgarde music fans.
