The Embassy of Italy in Washington and the Italian Cultural Institute of Washington, in collaboration with the Embassy of Ukraine to the United States of America, present a concert featuring Ukrainian-Italian violinist Anastasiya Petryshak and Italian pianist Lorenzo Meo performing works that bridge three nations: Ukraine, Italy, and the United States.
The concert, opened by the welcoming remarks of the Ambassador of Italy to the U.S. Marco Peronaci and Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olha Stefanyshina, will include pieces by Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryk, Italian composer Nino Rota, and American composer Amy Beach. Timed with both the U.S. 250th anniversary and the anniversary of the war in Ukraine, the concert emphasizes themes of resilience, peace, and cultural unity through music.

The program opens with Three Pieces by Myroslav Skoryk, a symbol of contemporary Ukrainian music, followed by Nino Rota, an Italian master who interweaves melancholy and irony, and concludes with Amy Beach, an American composer whose music reflects lyricism, introspection and hope.
Each piece becomes a bridge: between countries, cultures and generations; between memory and future. Notes of Resilience invites listeners to listen, reflect and celebrate the power of music as an instrument of dialogue, unity and peace.
