Our Cinema Italiano: A Better Way to Stay Home comes back with Cosa Sarà (Everything is Gonna Be Alright), the fourth film helmed by award winning director Francesco Bruni, and the closing title at the 15th Rome Film Fest in October 2020.

Bruno’s life is at a standstill. His comedy films are not funny and his producer struggles to make his next project fly. His recently divorced ex-wife, Anna, has quickly moved on and found his replacement. As a father to his children, Adele and Tito, he feels he is not as present and reliable as he should or would like to be. When he discovers he has leukemia, secrets from his father’s past come to light leading the family on a tour of rebirth, which will not only change their relationship, but will also teach Bruno to address his selfishness and focus on the people around him.

francesco bruniFRANCESCO BRUNI 

Francesco Bruni was born in Rome, Italy, on September 30, 1961. He started his professional career as a screenwriter for the film CONDOMINIO in 1991. In 1994, he started a long collaboration with director Paolo Virzì in his debut film LA BELLA VITA (1994). In 2011, Bruni made his own directorial debut with EASY!, which won the David di Donatello Award for Best New Director and the Silver Ribbon for the same category. His other films include NOI 4 (2014) and FRIENDS BY CHANCE (2017). Bruni currently teaches screenwriting at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome.
