2019 ISSNAF ANNUAL EVENT – Science and Beauty: Leonardo’s Legacy

"Science and Beauty: Leonardo's legacy." This will be the theme of the 2019 Italian Scientists and Scholars of North America (ISSNAF) Annual Event, held at the Italian Embassy in Washington, DC, under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic.

This year, the program is linked to the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci. Art scholars, scientists and researchers will animate debates focusing on the interrelationships between science and beauty, which combined, constitute an inexhaustible source of creativity. In this sense, Leonardo's work is the most illustrious example in the history of humanity. 

 

CELEBRATING ITALIAN RESEARCH

 

During the event the ISSNAF Lifetime Achievement Award will be assigned to Professor Mauro Ferrari, designated President of the European Research Council (ERC).

The second part of the day will be dedicated to the presentation of the winners of the five ISSNAF Young Investigators awards.
