Euforia (Euphoria) by Valeria Golino

Premiered as part of the “Un Certain Regard” category at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, Euforia is the second directing effort by Italian acclaimed actress Valeria Golino

Matteo (Riccardo Scamarcio) is a successful young entrepreneur, audacious, charming and energetic. His brother Ettore (Valerio Mastandrea) still lives in the small provincial town where they grew up and teaches in a middle school. He is a cautious, honest man who has always held back a little, sticking to the shadows, for fear of making a mistake. Seen from outside their lives seem to be very different. But life forces them back together and a difficult situation results in them getting to know and discover each other, in a vortex of fragility and euphoria.
